"Baby" Illustration Friday

I created this piece for Illustration Friday in my Moleskine. "Baby" is the theme this week. I wrote about Mom's wanting their baby's to look just like them!

I am almost half way through my Moleskine. My goal is to finish this one. I tend to start an artist journal and never finish it all the way. I get bored my style changes, or whatever.

Moleskine

This page has lots of old papers for collage, fiber paste, a rubber stamp image, acrylic, graphite, and inktense pencils.

Bailey

Bailey is laughing at me, trying to get a good photo of her! :)

Sisters in Bunny Slippers

Here is a peek at one of my larger paintings I just listed on Etsy. It is 20 x 24 inches. It is really cute but I won't be painting pieces this large again, I really like working much smaller. One of the reasons I like working smaller is that the pieces are just easier to mail. I haven't found an economical safe way to mail larger pieces. For this piece I got some boxes from Aaron Bros to ship it in. I did check out a mailing place and they were asking about $60.00 to mail larger pieces. Yikes!

How do you mail larger pieces?

Do you remember

I think it was late 60's, early 70's when we wore white lipstick and eyeshadow. I wasn't allowed to wear lipstick, so I would go to school, sneak in the bathroom and put on my white lipstick and eyeshadow. Oh, and I would put on my black fishnet stockings too. I wasn't allowed to wear those either. Then I would roll up my skirt to about eight inches above my knee, and off to classes I would go.

Created in my Moleskine with collage, acrylics and graphite.

"Wide" Illustration Friday

When I think of wide, I think of holding your arms sooooo wide to receive and give all the love you can. We need more of it in this crazy world,,,, right?

Moleskine

Things have been slow at etsy for me so I have had a lot of time to work in my Moleskine. I think people are buying expensive gas and not able to buy art. But now its back to making new stuff for my shop. I'm not sure what I'll come up with but once I sit down with a brush in my hand it will come to me.

Hope you are having a creative day!

Working in my Moleskine

I am totally re-doing my moleskine. I didn't like what I created before so I am painting over some of the old stuff. I like the collage peeking through.

Moleskine

Our art group met today, and what fun it is to sit, share, create, talk, eat, laugh, and just enjoy myself as if I had nothing else to do. It is such a great way for me to get away from chores, responsibilities, relax and just "be" with other creative spirits. I finished a couple of pages in my moleskine today. I will share some more later.
Thank you everyone for a great afternoon!

A good day to stay inside and make art

I'm trying to catch up on chores today. It's a little rainy here today. A good day to stay in and make art. I am going to try to go to the Glass Eye studio sale today.
