Happy Halloween

New mini art paintings

I created some more aceo cards today, you will find them in my etsy shop. I was thinking I would add to my abc cards, but I went with the flow and made these instead. I love it when my art has a mind of its own, I'm really never sure what will come out of me, until its finished! I am also letting go of a few rug hooked art items. You will find them here.

Collaborative with Syd

Syd and I decided to do a collaborative project together. We both like the same type of art. Our project started with a simple design. Since I don't have a sewing machine that will sew the heavy canvas, Syd created the canvas pouches for us. We then painted on them and sent them back and forth to each other. We painted our images on canvas board and sent those to each other to complete. It was a great project and I cherish my work from Syd.

Work in progress

I'm working on creating another textile piece. This is the beginning of an original painting on monks cloth. I'm thinking of adding a stuffed bird to her shoulder, sort of 3-d. Then a fabric backing of some sort and perhaps some polyfil.

It's a fabulosa day!

It's raining bucketfuls here in Seattle today! I can't remember when it's rained so hard. Monsoon rain! So,,, I have been busy adding little textile quilts to my etsy site today. All three of them will be there very shortly. Let me know if you are interested in any of them, and I will reserve them for you.

It's a face off!

If you have followed my blog long enough or have followed my work for some time, you will know that I have a love for bunny slippers. It must have been something from my childhood. I don't really recall owning some myself but always wanted a pair. Well now I have some, thanks to the gals at Run Away Rabbit. They are the best ever!! Just like the ones from my childhood. Gala and Laura contacted me last year after a posting I did of some of my "Sister's in Bunny Slippers", to let me know about their wonderful slippers. My only regret was that I took so long to order a pair!

Submission for Pocketful

Here is my submission for the next Pocketful Illustration Book. The theme is "All that is solid melts into air". You can see the other issues of Pocketful on my sidebar and links to Amazon. Yea! I previously painted lots of houses, this inspired me to paint some more, so off I go to the studio.
