Teaching at Artfest

We had a wonderful class at Artfest.  I couldn't have asked for a more fun experience.  Thank you to all my fabulous students for making our class so fun.  All the torsos came out so unique and fabulous! And I am happy you liked my music too!

(These photos are a little out of sequence, as I am having challenges with my blogger right now. )

Thank you so very much to

and Lacy all of you!

What I've been up to

I have been frantically getting ready for teaching and being a student at Artfest. So much to do when you teach and participate as a student. I have 5 sections in my studio all laid out for the event. I have two piles of supplies for two classes I am taking. I have one pile of supplies for the class I am teaching,,,big piles,,,,,,wood torsos 3' tall, and paint, and canvas,,,,and....still creating art to sell on vendor night. I feel like I'm right on target though. Next week I still need to pack, clothes, and wine,,,,,,,,,,fun!!!!

I love you

I am submitting this image for the next sticker book (see my side bar). This is the first one with a "Dad" theme. Or father's day,,, Anywho,,, I am going to the snow today with my BF who loves to ski. I am planning on spending the day in the lodge with a glass of wine, and all my paint supplies! How cool is that! I'll be away from my home so no distractions, like needing to dust, do dishes,,, you get the picture. So, I am excited to be able to paint,,,,and write an article for Somerset Magazine,,,,oh my,,, I better get going!

Love to all of you who faithfully read my blog!

Black and white houses

I love black and white photos. In fact when I was younger I collected really cool photos and had them blown up large. I still have an affection for them. I also love story telling,,,,so,,,, I turned my colorful house art into a black and white image. I think a story is starting here...

Five houses on a mountain

This is created on 4 x 6 canvas board. I love houses! They stand for comfort and a safe place. A place where you can really be yourself.

I was able to make some art this weekend after all. You just have to make time to do the things you want to do. These measure 4 x 6, and are created on canvas board. I use Golden acrylics and they are sprayed with an archival gloss finish. I will not be posting these on Etsy, but they are available here. Price $30.00 each + free shipping. Mention the one you want in the Paypal message. Or mention it here on my blog.
(p.s. these are not crooked, its the angle of my camera)
