Journal pages revised

I decided to re-do the faces on my journal page. The first ones seemed too long, and just not my style. I really like taking a chance to re-do something and keep working on it until its what you want. Don't be afraid to keep painting, and painting over what you don't like.  Another tip I have is to wait to the next day and look at your art with fresh eyes.  Sometimes getting away from it for a little while helps you decide what you need to change or revise.  This is created in my new journal from Strathmore.   Happy painting!

  1. I couldn't agree with you more on both topics. I used to be so afraid to put something down, until I realized that everything can be fixed if I don't like it. And that's exactly what I do when I'm struggling with a piece--put it away until the next day--what a difference that makes!

  2. I recently had that experience with a chair I'm working on...I had to cover up what I had done twice! But in the end, I'm so happy that I did...because now it's just right. :-)

  6. Ya..it's true how artist shouldn't be afraid of painting, repainting and just keep playing until the painting tells you to stop.
