"Phobia"- Illustration Friday

Some of us have Phobias. They show up on some of us in peculiar ways.

Others of us have the capability of holding them inside. Hiding them from others.

"Under the Loli Trees"

To change pace I like to create a little bit of collage in my art. It's a little cliche, but fun! I love old photos, especially ones I can turn into a whimsical, magical, story.

This illustration is from a book called "The Dead Bird" by Margaret Wise Brown. The illustrator is Remy Charlip. I just love the simpleness of it. Its very sweet, about some children who find a dead bird and bury it.

I found this sweet book at the Friends of the library book sale for .75. They have so many books, it is very overwhelming, but so much fun.
