Eight

I found these great wooden candlestick holders. There are 8 of them all together. Here is the first one I have completed. I am hoping to finish some more this weekend. I will finish them off by using a gloss archival finishing spray. They will be similar but will not be exact, that way you could use just one, or have similar ones for a set. These may go to Artfest with me.

On my Bamboo tablet

As I mentioned in my previous post I have been working on my new Wacom tablet, "Bamboo". So far, I have learned how I can write text on photos and import and export them to blogger. My tablet came with Adobe Photoshop elements, which I am also trying to learn. I am thinking that I must be able to create the same writing with my tablet and pen inside of Photoshop, instead of working inside Windows journal. It's all very confusing for me,,, but I am learning it. If you have any thoughts on this I would love to hear them.

I bought the book "Teach Yourself Visually Adobe Photoshop Elements". I love these books, since I am a visual learner and learn by doing. There are many Teach Yourself Visually books out there. If you are a visual (and slow learner) like me you might give them a try.

On my learning list,,,, to be able to create my signature.

Working in my studio

I finished this large painting today, and here it is in my studio. I am also learning about my Bamboo tablet and I am having a large learning curve. More on that later, but I am hoping to learn how to do handwriting on my photos. I am making progress and hope to share soon.

Our pajamas

There is something so cute and snuggly about onesies. If I had a sister, we would truly love to hang out in our bunny pajamas. I don't have a sister but I would surely like to have one. In fact, I don't need a sister but I do need these snuggly pajamas! I think I could pass on the hat, what about you?

Dialogue with puffin

I find Puffins and Emperor Penguins so fascinating. I saw a PBS show on Emperor Penguins quite a long time ago. They are dedicated, steadfast, and loyal. I think Puffins share the same characteristics. I am sure if we listened closely they would have a lot to tell us.

Birthday

Birthday
I think birthdays are important. Mine is really close to Christmas and is often overlooked. So, in celebration of my birthday, I aim to celebrate my half birthday which is July 4th. What could be better than fireworks and parades on one's birthday!
I love birthday cakes and balloons, and sharing the day with someone special.
