Fish Girl

I call this piece Fish Girl. I painted her after I did a submission for "Mixed Nuts". (More on that later). She looks like the 3-d piece I made for my submission. I like how she turned out, and she is a re-worked piece as well.

Birdie

Birdie is a piece that I finished last year, but didn't really like all that much. I re-worked her and now I love her. In fact I want to keep her for myself, but I'm letting go of her. She is available in my shop.
She is created on muslin fabric squares which gives this piece texture. I also used acrylics, Inktense pens, graphite, and a white marker.
Birdie measures 5 x 7 x 1.5 inch chunky canvas.

New hooked piece

Here is my next hooked piece. I am getting the hang of hooking. This one is small, about 7 x 7 inches. Can you see the little felt balls at the tips of the roofs? I am planning on making it into a stuffed pillow.

It's beautiful here in Seattle today. I am going to spend some long needed time in my garden. Have a sunny day!

Finished

Here she is, finished! I learned a lot from my first piece, I'm already thinking of what to make next! I have a new hook for next piece that will make the hooking go a little easier.

Painting

Remember the painting I talked about a couple of posts ago? I got it at the artist garage sale last weekend. It is huge, about 5' x 5'. I just hung it this weekend after painting the sides. (they were bare). I just love it, it is so colorful! The photo doesn't do it justice.

Almost done...

Almost done... now I have to make a border around her, and stuff her, then she will be done!
