I have a friend that moved to a small town. Being from a small town myself, I felt very sad for her. She is creative, funny, and fun. She is probably the most creative person in that town. This series started as I started to feel her pain, it's really my pain. Anyway, thus starts my faces series.
I feel the sadness of a relationship I cannot have so, these faces are also a current part of me.

its [funny] how we can connect into a person's pain by drawing into our own painful experience- and thus, feeling their pain. your pieces connect directly to my emotions. but instead of it being a bad thing to feel the pain it becomes cathartic and releasing....your face series in particular draws up a lot of pain for me.
