I dream in colour
This moment is the start to all my other moments, I chose to dream in colour, I chose to think "big" bigger than myself, and I chose to offer a smile to the stranger on the street corner.

Not always about color
If you have been following my work for a while you know how much I love color. Bright colors! Well today was different. I created this piece from a song I was listening to by George Strait called "Check yes or no". It's a really sweet song, you should hear it, if you haven't already. Anyway, I was compelled today to show this piece in black and white. I am shaking up my world a little bit at a time and it feels great! Let me know what you think of the black and white version.

Untitled
I am starting to work in my journal again. Picking up the paint brush after a long period of time isn't easy. This journal is a little bigger than my travel journal. I am enjoying the size of this one.

Taking the test
My friend Mark, encouraged me to take the Riso-Hudson Enneagram Type Indicator test. It is a great tool that helps understand different personality types. You can take a free version of this test on their site. I feel like I am a seven, and my friend feels that I am an eight. I took the test again today, and I rated a high number two. So, I wonder if I would test differently depending on my mood for that day? I think I am a number seven with a clear pattern for nurturing and helping, which really comes out when people get to know me.

New art in my travel journal
A lot of my art has been centering around water themes lately. I guess you can see why. I have been enjoying this wonderful mild summer in Seattle. I want to get out on the water more this summer. It's already August, I can't believe it! I hope you are enjoying your summer too.
