Melissa has a great post on her blog about drawing blindly. I do it from time to time and forgot about how much fun it is to create like this. Here is what she said.

I have been working in my Moleskine for about a year now. I have 7 full pages to go, and then it will be complete. Here's my latest.

Rug Hooked Goodness

When I am not painting, journaling, or making ceramics, I am rug hooking. These are little stuffed pillows. Some of the houses have pieces of my original art in the little windows. I will be selling these.

Rat City Rummage Sale

All they need is stuffing

For some reason I just hate doing the finishing part after I have rug hooked a piece. I love the hooking part just not the finishing part.


This one with the little face in the window, is made by painting the image with acrylics on artist canvas. Then I hook around the opening. This one will be stuffed like a little pillow, with a little button added for the door knob.

This house measures about 9 inches by 4 inches wide. It has a hand made fabric button for the door knob. Well, I better quit procrastinating, off I go to stuff my rug hooked houses!

Simple stickers

I created these simple stickers on brown packaging tape. The kind you lick to stick. I used my own rubber stamped image. Cut them out for individual stickers. You can use whatever rubber stamped image you like to make these.

Pocketful #2 is out! I was picked again to be a contributing illustrator. This issue is packed with wonderful illustrations with the theme "A Brave New World".
