Willow
This is my rescue dog Willow. I have had her now for almost a year. She is the sweetest dog on the planet now that she has her confidence. I painted her likeness today, I wonder if she approves. I always wanted to be a courtroom character painter, do you think I could get a job doing that! haha!

From my archives
I don't seem to have very much time to post lately, big changes are ahead for me. So be patient, I'll be going full speed in a couple of months.

Painting the blank page, and a guy in my journal
This is another page I created recently. I used collage papers in the hand bound journal that I made. I start all my pages by creating a watercolor wash on the pages so I am not faced with the overwhelming "blank page". Sometimes I am happy enough with all the pages painted in brilliant, vibrant colors, and I don't need to paint anything else on them! I find plain white pages a little intimidating to start work on.

Magic at Fort Warden
I really love this place. It's at Fort Warden in the State of Washington. I visited recently when the sun was barely out and got some great photos with my little Canon Sure Shot camera. The last photo is right next to the Battery and is called the memory vault. It was such a treat to be able to see this magical site.

"My Sister"
I am busy getting back into creating my "Sisters" series. I love bunny slippers, so you will find a lot of my characters wearing them. I guess its something a remember that was special from my childhood. They are sort of hard to find now, especially if you are an adult! haha, but I still love them. This piece is called "My Sister" and is in my shop now. Namaste, Tara

Matzke Fine Art Gallery and Sculpture Park
I visited these wonderful grounds over the weekend. It is a magical place. Our hostess Carla was welcoming and shared how she created these grounds from scratch over 15 years ago. The grounds were originally densely forested and needed clearing for the sculpture park. She spent over 5 years creating this space. I'll be back again. It was very cold that day, so I want to visit again and see more of these fabulous acres. The sculpture park is located on Camano Island in Washington state.

Artist Trading Card, or ACEO
![]() |
| "Mermaid" |
ACEO stands for "Art Cards, Editions & Originals".
This is a miniature work of art the size of a trading or playing card (2.5" x 3.5") they're an inexpensive way to buy original or limited edition art.
I created this piece on 140lb cold press water color paper. You can find it in my etsy shop. I'll be posting more very soon. My etsy shop is in the sidebar on the left side of my blog.
Happy day! xo
Bunnies so small
I have been listing some of my favorite pieces on etsy. I am hoping to add some more art later in the week. These are note cards created from one of my favorite original paintings and are listed on etsy as well.
