Some available paintings
I have been busy creating new paintings and getting ready for a gallery opening in June in Salem which I plan to be a part of. It's a new adventure and will be an "Eclectic" sort of event. Meanwhile I have these paintings available.
"Mother" 8x10 inches and on gallery wrapped canvas. I used lots of texture in the background, acrylic, pastel, charcoal, and an image copied on cotton fabric for mother in the background. It's ready to hang.
These paintings are created on canvas board and measure 5 x 7 inches. They are also available.

Has it been so long....
since I last posted?! Time does get away from me!
I was fortunate enough to be invited to an art retreat in Port Townsend a couple of weekends ago. It was so fun to be with wonderful creative women and spend time creating art and laughing. Pure bliss. I'm back at rediscovering old journals and re-working them. I've had this one a long time, and I feel it needs an update. I love working over all my old stuff. They are ever evolving and ever changing. I'm feeling an urge thou, to create in a different medium,,,maybe fabric...we'll see.

A fun day with friends creating art
I really enjoy making art with friends. They inspire you in ways that you can't anticipate. This is a piece I created in a journal that I am re-doing. When I start a project I never really know what the end result will be. I start painting and let the magic happen. This piece has lots of collage elements peeking out.

New work in a larger journal
I like this larger format, it measures 9 x 12 inches. Most of my current creations wear masks, but for some reason these characters don't even mind that they are not wearing masks! I created this piece with watercolor, Pitt Pens, and used collage elements from an old anatomy book. I'll try to get a better photograph when it is not raining outside!

(update,,,,,,,I was able to photograph these in better lighting)

From my archives
This measures 8 x 10 and is on cold press watercolor paper. Created with watercolors and a Pitt Pen. Pitt pens are great for using with paint, they don't bleed and make a nice line. I love using watercolors because I like they way they flow, unlike acrylics. I just love this piece that I made a couple of years ago!
