This illustration is from a book called "The Dead Bird" by Margaret Wise Brown. The illustrator is Remy Charlip. I just love the simpleness of it. Its very sweet, about some children who find a dead bird and bury it.

I found this sweet book at the Friends of the library book sale for .75. They have so many books, it is very overwhelming, but so much fun.

I first saw Remy's illustrations in the 60s -- just love this work. Thanks for sharing it -- and I like your inimitable style as well.
