I'm at home today with a sick boy with the flu. He is feeling better now, and I'm starting to feel like I am getting it too.
I am still on a creative low but I have been working in my journals. There is a freedom in creating pieces in my journal because I think they are just for me. But then I somehow end up sharing them with all of you anyway. I like how this one turned out. It was originally for illustration Friday but I changed my mind about posting it for this week's theme.

a timely bit of journaling! If you can believe it, I just got back from driving back to the store (where we went this morning) to look for Riley's lost puppy blankie, only to remember on the way home that I had seen it at home! I'll have to watch out with the vacuum cleaner in the future though!
yes, my son never forgave me for that. So I decided to wrap up the torn and shredded blankie and put it in a special box under his bed. It remained there until we moved about five years later.
