Artist you should know about

My friend Sharon Baker makes fabulous hooked rugs, hooked dolls, and textile pieces. She is a whiz at a sewing machine, and almost anything else she puts her hands on. She just started her etsy site, the photos of her work don't do the pieces justice. Stop by, you won't be disappointed. Ask her about her hand hooked kitties, they are amazing.

Sharon's work is even better in person, you just gotta see her work!

This is just a tidbit of what she does.

Does Sharon have a blog because, if not, she really needs one! I love the mixed media hooked pieces...I've been trying to do that too, but with limited success. Here is my favorite piece I've made.

I have gobs of fabric transfers just waiting to be used in with my hooking. I love the lettering around the edge of the one rug!
