Dialogue with my teenage son

I find myself saying the same things every day to my teenage son. I journaled some of my thoughts. The bottom line is "I want you to be safe, I love you".

So hard being a mother to boys, and I'm only just beginning....I give you much credit for having done it alone!

I feel exactly the same way and this sounds like all the same stuff i repeat on a daily basis with my teenager...just hang in there and someday it will all sink in and hopefully someday they too will understand where you're coming from when they have children of their own.

I agree, I think we all, as parents say the same things. Especially when it comes to being safe.

I'm RIGHT there, too! This piece tugged at my heart... and made me smile.

I can relate to all this, although it's my daughter at the independent driving stage; my son is three years younger.
